Career Opportunities

From your first day as an RBT to senior clinical leadership — we show you exactly how to get there.

Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs)

The foundation of direct autism therapy

RBTs work one-on-one with children implementing ABA therapy programs designed by Board Certified Behavior Analysts. This is where many of our current BCBAs and clinical directors started their careers.

What you'll do:

  • Implement individualized treatment plans under BCBA supervision
  • Teach communication, social, and daily living skills through play-based activities
  • Collect data on child progress and session outcomes
  • Build relationships with children and families
  • Participate in team meetings and parent training sessions

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Pass background check
  • Willingness to complete RBT certification (we provide training and support)
  • Passion for working with children with autism

We hire entry-level RBTs with no prior experience. If you’re motivated to learn and committed to making a difference, we’ll train you.

Salary range

$18-$24/hour (based on experience and location)

Culture & Work Environment

What it’s actually like to work here — from the people who do it every day.

Collaborative & Supportive

We’re a team, not a hierarchy. Senior clinicians mentor junior staff. BCBAs collaborate across sites. When someone’s struggling with a complex case, the entire clinical team rallies to support.

What our team says:

“I came from an independent provider where I felt isolated and unsupported. Here, I have a whole network of BCBAs I can call for consultation. I’m a better clinician because of it.” — Sarah, BCBA in New Jersey

Commitment to Clinical Excellence

We don’t cut corners. Treatment plans are thorough. Data collection is rigorous. Quality Committee reviews ensure we’re meeting institutional standards. If you want to do exceptional work, you’ll have the resources and support to do it.

Hospital-grade training:

  • Comprehensive onboarding (80+ hours for new RBTs)
  • Monthly clinical case reviews
  • Quarterly continuing education
  • Annual competency assessments

Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion

We serve diverse families across four states, and our team reflects that diversity. We’re committed to creating an inclusive environment where everyone — regardless of race, ethnicity, religion, gender identity, sexual orientation, or disability — can thrive professionally.

Our commitment:

  • Ongoing DEI training for all staff
  • Culturally responsive clinical practices
  • Diverse hiring practices
  • Safe space for all team members

Work-Life Balance Is Real

We schedule sessions realistically. We provide adequate prep time. We have coverage systems so you can actually take time off. We encourage you to use your PTO.

Burnout is real in autism care. We design schedules and expectations to build sustainable careers.

Growth Mindset

We promote from within. We celebrate professional milestones. We invest in your development because when you grow, our families benefit.

Many of our current clinical directors started as RBTs. If you want to advance, we’ll show you how.

What to Expect in the Hiring Process

From application to job offer — here’s exactly what happens.

Submit Your Application

Apply online through our careers portal. Upload your resume and cover letter (cover letter optional but recommended for leadership roles).

Pro tip: Tell us why you’re passionate about autism care and what makes you a great fit for our team-based, family-centered approach.

Phone Screen (15-20 minutes)

If your application looks like a good fit, our recruiting team will call you for a brief phone conversation to learn more about your background, experience, and career goals.

We’ll ask about:

  • Your experience working with children (if any)
  • Why you’re interested in autism care
  • Your availability and schedule preferences
  • What you’re looking for in an employer

Interview (45-60 minutes)

You’ll interview with the hiring manager (typically a Clinical Director or Regional Director) and potentially other team members. This can be in-person at one of our centers or via video call.

We’ll discuss:

  • Your clinical or direct care experience
  • How you handle challenging situations
  • Your approach to teamwork and collaboration
  • Your long-term career goals
  • Questions you have about the role and organization

Come prepared to ask questions. We want you to evaluate whether we’re the right fit for you too.

Background Check & References

We’ll conduct a background check (required for all positions working with children) and contact your professional references.

Timeline: Typically 5-7 business days

Job Offer & Onboarding

If everything checks out and we’re mutually excited about moving forward, we’ll extend a formal job offer with salary, benefits, and start date details.

Onboarding includes:

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need experience to apply as an RBT?

No. We hire entry-level RBTs and provide comprehensive training, RBT certification support, and mentorship. If you have a high school diploma, pass a background check, and are passionate about working with children with autism — you can start with us.

Yes. We provide RBT training as part of onboarding and support you through the certification exam. Most new RBTs complete certification within their first 2-3 months.

Most RBT positions are full-time (35-40 hours per week) with schedules typically between 8am-6pm Monday-Friday. Part-time and per diem positions are also available depending on location.

Sessions are scheduled with families in advance, so you know your schedule ahead of time (not constantly changing last-minute).

If you’re working toward BCBA certification (enrolled in a master’s program or post-master’s certificate), we’ll cover 50% of your tuition costs through our Milestones program. You maintain employment while completing coursework, and upon certification, you’re guaranteed a BCBA position.

Yes. We offer full-time, part-time, and per diem positions for both RBTs and BCBAs depending on location and current openings.

If you’re moving to one of our service areas (NJ, MD, NC, AZ) and have relevant experience, we’d love to talk. Many of our team members have relocated and joined us in new markets.

Some positions may offer relocation assistance for experienced BCBAs and leadership roles (case-by-case basis).

It depends on your educational timeline. Most RBTs pursuing BCBA certification complete their master’s degree and supervised experience in 2-3 years while working with us.

Through our Milestones program, we support you financially and provide flexible scheduling to accommodate coursework.

We can tell you we’re collaborative and supportive, but the best way to know is to talk to our team. During your interview, ask to speak with current RBTs or BCBAs. We’re happy to connect you.
